Faqs
Where and when is the ceremony?
Basilica Santa Luzia at 1pm.
While we are will be celebrating the catholic sacrament of marriage, all of our invited guests are welcome to attend regardless of religion.
What time should I arrive?
We ask that guests kindly arrive 20 minutes early. Please be inside the church by 12:40.
Where & When is the reception?
The reception will be held at Quinta do Alferes de Crasto immediately following the ceremony. Once you arrive at Alferes, the party will begin! Transportation between the church and venue will be provided with details given closer to the wedding day.
Please be aware that the reception will be a long affair with plenty of hor d’oeurves, courses and an open bar. Please party accordingly! If you have any allergies please let us know when you rsvp.
Attire
Matt and Cat will be dressed up so why don’t you dress up too! We ask that our guests dress somewhere between semi-formal and cocktail attire. We do advise our ladies in attendance that there is a mix of cobblestone and grass when picking out the best shoes! While the ceremony is indoors, cocktail hour will be outdoors, and seated dinner will be indoors.
Travel
We do hope our guests use our wedding as an excuse to travel the country (& maybe the continent!) If you are flying into Portugal, we recommend Francisco Sa Carneiro (OPO) airport as it is the closest to the venue. However, flying into Lisbon is always a great option and there is a train between Lisbon and Porto to assist our guests in coming to the North.
2. Accommodation: we have some suggestions for lodging but if you find another hotel or feel like an airbnb, feel free to book!
RSVP
Please RSVP by May 2nd.
Children and plus-ones! We would love to have your kids be a part of the big day, if your invitation was addressed to “the XYZ family” please bring the kiddos along if you would like. While we’d love to celebrate with everyone, our venue capacity allows us to invite only those listed on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding.
